UEFA Champions League Final 2010.

Another Final Orient missed out on

Interviewed in the Sun newspaper this morning to promote the new series of the Apprentice, Lord Sugar (it’s not Sir Alan anymore – he says so himself here) says that the Lib Dems in government are like Leyton Orient in the Champions League, a fish out of water.

Champions League we should be so lucky, we can’t even get to the later stages of the Johnstone Paint Trophy (Southern Area).

The O’s gained a useful point at Oldham after losing goalkeper Jamie Jones to injury in the 40th minute.

The 4 sided badge.

A great result for Orient to win their first proper London derby of the season (the Daggers game being an Essex derby?), the three points also took the O’s off the bottom of the table and out of the relegation zone.

I always fancied Orient had a good chance of winning, firstly with home advantage, and for Brentford, following the penalty win over Everton in the Carling Cup, it was always going to be a case of after the Lords Mayor show.

Scott McGleish, who else, got the vital goal, and credit to the defence for an important clean sheet, and holding on after the goal in the 25th minute.

Now we have to take advantage of another home game on Tuesday night v Walsall, followed by a trickier trip to Oldham.

Up the O’s.
