Adam Chambers Facing A Month Out

8 Nov

The midfielder general, Orients longest serving player, could be out for a month after it was revealed he needs surgery on his long term calf injury.

I won’t repeat the BBC site word for word, as long STANDING doesn’t seem appropriate in the circumstances…

Tranmere v Leyton Orient – Match Preview

19 Feb

This will be our second visit to Prenton park of the season, as we already held the hosts to a draw in the FA Cup there, before falling to a late goal in the replay at Brisbane Road. Orient managed to reverse the result in the first league encounter, also at Brisbane Road, just three days after the Cup replay.
The cup exit alone should gee the Orient players up, but, like in the Cup tie, Orient will have to make do without significant players.

In The FA Cup, Tottenham and Plymouth would not allow Andros Townsend and Luke Summerfield to be cup-tied so both players sat out the tie. In the league meeting three days after Townsend and Summerfield were restored to the side and were key in our 2-1 win.

This time round, Orient go into the game on the back of a six match unbeaten run, but two influential players that came in on loan at the start of those six games, Matthew Briggs and Nicky Adams, have both returned to their parent clubs, Fulham and Leicester City.

Tranmere are of course famously, or infamously managed by their physio Les Parry…
